Behaviours
“Our behaviours are driven by our egos which can compel us to evade the consequences of the loss that we create. We need to control our egos to manage our behaviours to eliminate loss rather than creating it.”
Jim Short
Behavioural Values:
One must;
Treat everyone as an equal with respect and dignity
Speak up and tell a person if you are upset by their behaviour, ask them to stop as they may be in breach of the organisations values
Speak up and advise a person who is upsetting one of your colleagues by their behaviour to stop. Report the incident to your manager and the HR/ER function to ensure the issue is resolved
Commit to the values of the organisation by actively ensuring that all non-compliant behaviours are identified and corrected when observed
Always respect culture differences as one may have to amend their behaviour to respect local custom but only if the orgnisational values are not compromise
